This species is from China and Vietnam. Creeping epiphytic found in the Cao Bang District in northern Vietnam. In China, plants are found in the provinces of Fujian, Guangdong, Guangxi, and southern Yunnan where they grow on tree trunks in mountain forests at elevations up to 4250 ft.
